V. Summary

  1. The issue of transporting infants and toddlers on school bus is of great concern at the local, state, and national level
  2. Individual school districts are developing policies and purchasing new equipment
  3. The Federal and state governments are working to develop guidelines for how to transport preschoolers safely
  4. Additional information will be forthcoming to help us as school bus drivers
  5. For now, we need to be aware of the problem and respond to it as best we can
  6. Now, we are going to practice installing a child safety seat in a bus
