Evaluation of Instructions 1 stars
The instruction manual storage may be difficult to find. In the manual, the sizing information is not accompanied by a full illustration of the child in the restraint.  Overviews of methods to install the seat in a vehicle are not labeled.  The warning to avoid placing the CRS in front of an active air bag is not illustrated clearly and is located among other warnings. The section describing vehicle seat belt types is incomplete; it is missing specific instructions for lap and shoulder belts. The user may need to read text in order to route the LATCH belt or seat belt properly. Specific height ranges are not included in the manual.
Securing the Child 2 stars
The restraint was not set for the smallest possible occupant when it was removed from the packaging.  The harness clip is not labeled to indicate its correct placement.  The harness tightening strap may be difficult to reach and use when the seat is installed. Harness slots in the pad and in the shell are misaligned or small. There is a head hugger or body pillow blocking the harness slots in the shell from being easily visible.  The harness must be rethreaded to adjust harness height as the child grows. While disassembling for cleaning, mandatory pieces may become loose and could be misplaced, and the harness must be rethreaded to reassemble.
Installation Features 3 stars
There are not three levels of built-in recline available.  The restraint is not equipped with any installation angle guidance. The restraint is equipped with hook-style LATCH attachments which may require twisting to remove from the lower anchors in the vehicle.  The LATCH storage area is not clearly labeled.
