Evaluation of Instructions 4 stars
The manual cannot be accessed while the restraint is installed in this mode. The tether is not labeled in the illustrations depicting acceptable modes of installation. There is no differentiation between installation with a lap/shoulder belt and lap-only belt in the manual. The user may need to read text in order to use the tether properly.
Securing the Child 2 stars
The harness clip is not labeled with placement instructions.  Harness slots in the pad and in the shell are misaligned or small.  The harness height may be difficult to adjust for child's growth.  The harness must be rethreaded to adjust height for the child's growth. Multiple actions are required to convert the seat to this mode of use; these must be followed in the manual. When disassembled for cleaning, mandatory parts of the restraint may become detached and could be misplaced.
Installation Features 4 stars
Interference is possible between a seat component and the belt routing system.  The belt positioning feature is simple to use, but the caregiver may need to consult the owner's manual for more information.
